H. H. Holmes

    

Everyone has a devil and an angel living in his heart; everyone can be evil and gentle. H. H. Holmes was a professional doctor which needed kind and gentle, but he was also a horrible serial murder. Nobody can imagine that the same person can be an angel in daytime, and be an extreme devil at night. He was controlled by his devil and became grubby. He was a talent to design the killing. He just remembered how to hate, but forget how to pardon. He was living without happy.

     Do you know how to stake in the ice? Before I went to learn skating, I thought it was a piece of cake. People just wore skating shoes, and they could skate in the ice. However, things were not running like I though. Skating is a sport which needs patience, balance, and practice.

     When I was learning skating, I fell down again and again. I really wanted to give up, because my friends who knew how to skate all laughed at me. I felt extremely upset. But my cousin said, "success’s mother was failure", I knew I  

THE DEVIL IN THE WHITE CITY

     Before I started to read “The Devil in the White City”, many people told me that was a wonderful book. I felt gratified I could have an opportunity to read it. I read it attentively. However, I realized this book has a lot of new vocabulary. I found that I really had to improve my vocabulary. Fortunately, I still could understand it through checking my dictionary frequently. Without doubt, this is an awesome historical book.

     When I was reading this book, I knew that the two main characters both were talents. And I was very curious about what made one to be a positive hero, and made the other one to be a devil. I am wondering what is going to happen. Although this book is difficult for me, I know I can understand it completely through my efforts.
